Construction drawings approved for the Rui’an Connection Line of Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Coastal Expressway

On September 13, it was learned from Wenzhou Traffic and Transportation Bureau that the construction drawings of Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Coastal Expressway Rui'an connection Line project had been approved. Being an important part of “Two Ring-roads, and Nine Thoroughfares, and Five Connections” for the highway network, it will effectively improve the structure of high-speed road network and become an important part of the Yangtze River Delta regional integrated transportation system.

The starting point of the Rui'an Connection Line of the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Coastal Expressway is connected to the Expressway itself, with a general east-west direction, passing through Xincheng, Tingtian, Anyang, Jinhu, Pandai, Yunzhou, Taoshan, Huling and other sub-districts and towns from east to west, and finally ends at the village of Gangyao in Huling Town. The total length of the main line is about 37.2 kilometers, with a 3 kilometers connection called Huling Line, whose design speed is 100 kilometers per hour, with a total budget investment of about 18.5 billion yuan.

The project in Rui'an is the east-west connection of three north-south expressways, including G15W3 (Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Coastal Expressway), G15 (Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Conventional Expressway) and Wenzhou Ring Expressway Southwest Line. There are three hub interchanges, including Rui'an East Hub, Rui'an Complex Hub Interchange and Taoshan Hub, effectively connecting the above three highways.

It is known that the construction of the Rui'an Connection Line project will greatly shorten the distance between Huling and Rui'an as well as Wenzhou city, promoting the western township of Rui'an to accelerate the integration of Wenzhou metropolitan area. It will also alleviate of road congestion of Rui'an city, boosting the economic development of Rui'an and improving the urban road network layout of Wenzhou in a scientific way.
