Recently, Yongjia County of Wenzhou has been included in the National County Tourism Research Report (2022) and inscribed on a list of Top 100 Counties with Composite Tourism Strength in 2022 , both released by the research group and the Beijing Huaxia Top 100 Tourism Counties Consulting Center a few days ago. So far, Yongjia has been on the list for four consecutive years, its ranking jumping from 79th in 2019 to 66th this year.

It is reported that in 2022, the above results come from the the tourism research in 1,866 counties (including county-level cities, autonomous counties, banners, autonomous banners, special economic zones and forestry district) on China’s mainland.

Since 2019, Yongjia has vigorously implemented its tourism development strategy and promoted the expansion and strengthening of the tourism industry, with the  industry showing an upward tendency. In 2019, the annual ticket revenue of the county’s scenic areas exceeded RMB 100 million for the first time. In 2021, Yongjia received 19.3844 million tourists, a rise of 24.53% YoY. In addition, the mountainous county is included in the first batch of typical cases of common prosperity in Zhejiang Province owing to its successfully developing music villages and night tour along the Nanxi River.
