At noon on Nov. 28th, a flight (No. CA837) carrying 170 passengers departed from the Wenzhou Longwan International Airport for Milan Malpensa Airport, Italy. It is learned that this is the second international regular passenger route that has been opened at the airport this year after the Wenzhou-Rome route, and it is also the first Wenzhou-Europe flight run by Air China.

It is learned that the round-trip flight, numbered CA837 and operated by Airbus A330, is scheduled to depart Wenzhou at 12:40 pm every Monday and arrive in Milan at 6:55 pm local time, and then return at 8:55 pm Milan time and reach Wenzhou at 3:35 pm on Tuesday.

Located in north Italy, Milan is the second-largest city and a major transportation hub connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Central Europe. As Italy is home to large groups of overseas Chinese, people have long been calling for the opening of new European flights to help them visit home and do business. The new shuttle flight is expected to offer a convenient and efficient channel between Wenzhou, its surrounding areas, and Europe.

It is also learned that, in order to serve and integrate into the double-cycle development pattern, Wenzhou Airport has implemented the requirements of Wenzhou municipal government this year and taken the initiative to connect with airlines and joint inspection institutions. Great efforts are made to obtain support from the Civil Aviation Administration, and finally, the regular international passenger round-trip flight is successfully opened from Wenzhou to Milan. Wenzhou Airport  indicates that it will continue to explore the international market, further enrich and improve the international passenger route network. It will promote the construction of the "Air Silk Road", provide support to further enhance Wenzhou's international connectivity and international influence, and help Wenzhou speed up the building of a regional international aviation hub.
