Wenzhou South Railway Station (WSRS), located in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, is a first-class passenger station of Ningbo Train Operation Depot affiliated to China Railway Shanghai Group Co.,Ltd. , intersecting Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Railway, Wenzhou-Fuzhou Railway and Jinhua-Wenzhou Railway.

Wenzhou South Railway Station, which started construction in October 2008 and was then called Wenzhou New Passenger Station, was officially named Wenzhou Railway Station and went into operation alongside the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Railway and Wenzhou-Fuzhou Railway open to traffic on September 22nd and 28th of 2009 respectively.

Wenzhou South Railway Station has covered a total area of 190,368 ㎡, with an area of 71,209 ㎡ for station buildings by 2012 and 4 platforms as well as 10 railway lines by December 2018.

The Overall Layout

Wenzhou South Railway Station consists of 4 floors, the 1st and the 2nd floors of which serve as waiting halls (also called Waiting Room 1) made up of 4 waiting areas and 4 check-in entrances, with the 1st floor for No.1 platform and the 2nd floor for No.2-7 platforms. The 1st underground floor contains a hall for exit from the station and Waiting Room 2, directly connecting the station square and bus stops.

The buildings in Wenzhou South Railway Station are established in a line-side form, where the entrances are on the ground floors and the exit on the underground floor, together with elevated lanes for vehicle guidance and semi-ground overhead traffic transfer hall for passengers to guarantee an unblocked traffic.

The bus hub, located in the front of the exit from the station at the first underground floor, has by May 2019 7 boarding areas and 2 waiting halls, with No.1-5 boarding areas for normal buses, express buses for holidays and community buses, No.6 Boarding Area especially for No.B5 Bus, No.7 Boarding Area for a closed platform of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) with fare charged before entering the stop. The Waiting Hall of City Bus are for Wenzhou city buses (airport line excluded) and the buses of inter-county passenger line, and the Waiting Hall of Airport Bus for Wenzhou airport buses of Wenzhou South Railway Station line (also called Wenzhou city bus airport line).
