Wenzhou Rail Transit Line S1, also known as the High-speed Commuter Train Line S1, is the first rail transit line in operation in Wenzhou. Its west section (from Tongling Station to Olympic Sports Center Station) and eastern section (from Olympic Sports Center Station to Shuang’ou Avenue Station), with the sign color of sea blue, went into trial operation on January 23rd, 2019 and September 28th, 2019, respectively. The whole line of Phase I Project of Line S1 runs east to west. Starting from Tongling Station in the west, it goes through the central area of Ouhai District, Wenzhou Avenue in Lucheng District and Yaoxi Sub-district in Longwan District, all the way to Shuang’ou Avenue Station in the east. With a total length of 53.5 kilometers, Line S1 comprises 18 stations. As for the high-speed commuter train used, it is a D-Type train with 4 coaches in each train. On September 30th, 2019, 38,400 commuters travelled by Line S1, marking the largest passenger volume in a single day since the normal operation of the line.
