Recently, data of resident disposable income per capita in 41 cities of the Yangtze River Delta have been released. Wenzhou ranked tenth in the list of 41 cities with ¥51, 490. There were 6 cities in Zhejiang ranking top ten, including Hangzhou which ranked 3rd with ¥59, 261. The size of moneybags is a hot topic about which common people are most concerned. According to the National Bureau of Statistics Survey Team of Wenzhou, residents' per capita disposable income reaches more than 50,000 Yuan, which is currently for the first time, and increases 4,570 Yuan compared with the same period of last year, a nominal growth of 9.7 percent year-on-year, or a real increase of 7.3 percent after deducting price factors, ranking the second in Zhejiang in terms of the growth rate. In terms of permanent residents, the per capita disposable income of urban households is 60,957 yuan, which hits more than 60,000 for the first time, a nominal growth of 8.7 percent, or a real growth of 6.4 percent, ranking the third in Zhejiang in terms of the growth rate with 6 climbing rungs. The per capita disposable income of rural residents was 30,211 yuan, which exceeds more than 30,000 for the first time, up by 9.9 percent nominally, or 7.5 percent in real terms, ranking the second in Zhejiang in terms of the growth rate with 4 climbing rungs. In terms of the sources of income, wage income per capita dominates among the four major categories of urban and rural disposable income. Wage income per capita for urban and rural residents both exceed more than 50%, reaching ¥31, 248 and ¥17, 656. In addition, metastatic net income per capita between urban and rural areas grows rapidly, reaching ¥7988 and ¥3672, an increase of 11.6% and 14.4% respectively. The income of urban and rural residents is closely bound up with economic environment. Insiders point out that Wenzhou’s economy seeks improvement in stability and the well-being of people’s livelihood improves continuously in recent years.
