Wenzhouese Online Payment hits RMB 2.57Bn on 11.11

During the “Double 11” shopping spree,  Wenzhouese online purchasing payment increased year by year. The latest Tmall Global sales data shows that on Nov. 11 this year, Wenzhouese spent a total of RMB 2.57 billion on online purchase, compared with last year's 2.27 billion, a rise of 21%.

Based on the data, Wenzhou's post-80th and -90th generation's favourite consumer goods are mobile phones, while the post-60th and -70th generation prefers pants, and the post-50th loves home decoration as the generation is more pragmatic. The most favoured five items of commodities are varied among the five age groups but the down jacket, as an exception, ranks 4th or 5th on the list of the online commodities most favoured by all the five groups, as was the case last year. This may be related to cold air which came around Nov. 11 this year.

On the list of Wenzhou citizens' favorite product brands, those of electronic products, such as Midea, which takes the first place, Xiaomi and Huawei as well as Apple, account for the major part. In addition, it is compelling that the local brand Chint is also included in the list, ranking third among the post-50s generation’s favourite brands.
