The first bilingual comprehensive service hotline (4008678110) was set up on April 9 to provide foreign nationals in Wenzhou with more convenient, accurate and efficient exit-entry services. By virtue of the introduction to hotline in the newspapers, we-chat and television, 985 calls have been received so far with 8 calls per day on average, over which foreign nationals get informed of affairs related to work visa and residence permit.

A Ghanaian named Sarpong, who does trade in Wenzhou, consulted staff members about extension of his residence permit on the hotline. He said that a certain amount of time could be saved through a call, over which latest changes in policy and materials needed were informed.

The establishment of bilingual comprehensive service hotline of the Lucheng Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration Department (LPSBEEAD) is one of the reforms in response to “one stop, one trip” convenience-for-people policy. With deepened application of “Internet plus public security affairs”, certificate application for exit and entry is not confined to the face-to-face communication with staff members at the windows and instead it can be handled through a call or the Internet. This public service project is made jointly by Administration Brigade of LPSBEEAD and Lucheng Overseas Publicity Center.
