Introduction:

Hungary is a landlocked country in central Europe, bordering Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Its capital, Budapest, known as the “Paris of Eastern Europe” and the “Pearl of the Danube”, is an ancient city alongthe Danube River in the Middle North region of the country. It is where the famous musician Franz Liszt was born and where the SZIROM Symphonic Roma Orchestra is originated.

Affiliated to the Future Music Foundation, the SZIROM Symphonic Roma Orchestrais composed of rigorously selected musicians who, often invited to perform at major theaters and famous music festivals, boastconsummate skills pleasing to the eye and the ear and reflecting the rapid change of rhythm and the richness and harmony of colors. At this New Year Concert, the orchestra willperformfor the Chinese audience classical repertoires of Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Paganini and Tchaikovsky.
