Beauty doesn’t come only from appearance. The popularity of The Ugly Duckling from generation to generation not only results from its rich plot with wit and humor, but the truth that teaches children how to be independent and how to find the true self in the process of growing up. It is the value beyond physical appearance that the story wants to convey to the parents and children.

The Expressive Form of Music:

There is no dialogue in the drama and all language of artists are presented through music and dance. All the music comes from the movie music and classical music we are familiar with, or those specifically created by composers. This allows the children to enjoy the fairy tale drama, and understand the history of classical music itself, so that children can be immersed in the kingdom of fairy tale and lightning with music.

American Lightwire Theater was established by Ian Carney and Eleanor Carney, with the cooperation of Corbian Visual Arts Dance. Their previous work Dino Light gained popularity from audience and made tour performance through the United   States and European countries. From January 2011, they began to do R & D (research and development) on the luminous version of The Ugly Duckling-The Tortoise and the Hare, two classical animal stories selected respectively from Andersen’s Fairy Tales and Aesop’s Fables. In early 2012 the luminous version came out with advanced technology, vivid and interesting form of dance, which shocked the whole nation again.

In 2012, Lightwire Theater participated in the seventh season of America’s Got Talent and became semifinal winner with the fascinating, imaginative performance and stage setting of Dino Light, which made global audience and media crazy. The troupe got the U.S. Audience Voted Favorite Show Award and the Judges Favorite Award in this year.

In 2014, invited by Hermark Culture, Lightwire Theater came to China for the first time and made their tour performance with Dino Light. They made their debut at the  National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing and made 4 successive performances. Each one was a great success!
