On the afternoon of March 9, Wenzhou’s Longwan District welcomed the visiting Australian delegation headed by Vice Mayor Paul Kearsley of Dandenong City in Victoria State. The guests’ visit was warmly received by Mr. Yu Anjiang,Vice Mayor of the District, and accompanied by officials in charge of the district’s related departments, including Central District Management Committee, Commercial Affairs Bureau, investment promotion bureaus of the district and of the South Zhejiang Sci-tech City, Foreign and Overseas Affairs Office of the Longwan District People’s Government.
The delegation visited Longwan District Planning Exhibition Center, and South Zhejiang Sci-tech City Planning Exhibition Hall, looking deeply into the district’s general information, cultural background as well as planning and layout. “Impressive! ”--- this is Mr. Paul Kearsley’s comments on the district’s transport network, population environment and related policies.
In the following discussions, Mr. Yu Anjiang briefed the guests mainly on the planning for expanding eastern Longwan to vigorously develop from the areas along the Oujiang River to those along the district’s eastern coastline by expanding the existing airport, building a light rail and transport hub. He hoped to achieve a win-win cooperation in trade and investment between Longwan and Dandenong by mutual visits and deepened communication.
An in-depth discussion between the guests and the district’s related departments was also held on cooperation in real estate, high-end FMCG, logistics, and marketing among others. The guests said their visit is quite rewarding, through which they perceived the vitality and potential of Longwan’s development.
