Richard Uttley graduated from Clare College, Cambridge with a double first. Afterwards, he followed Martin Roscoe to learn Piano in Guildhall School of Music and got a scholarship and an artist's title with a master's degree.

In terms of his achievement, he has ever won the first degree in Haverhill and Britain piano competition. And in 2011, he was selected for representation by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT). In 2014, Richard was invited to attend Open Chamber Music at IMS Prussia Cove.

Recently, he has been invited by lots of piano recitals over European even the world. In addition, his performance is often played on the BBC radio station.

Recent highlights include solo recitals in London, Manchester, Paris and Berlin as well as Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Besides, he also has a collaboration with violinist Callum Smart and symphony orchestra to perdorm the concertos by Mozart, Brahms and Grieg.
