It is inspired by tunes derived from Nordic European folk music and Balkan rhythms, and then makes innovation in contemporary harmonica music, in order to develop it by well-designed sound systems. Each year, Sväng has 50-60 concert tours all over the world. Apart from European countries such as UK, France, Italy and Austria, etc., it was also invited by Japan for playing the theme song The Merry-go-round of Life, created by musician Joe Hisaishi for Miyazaki Hayao’s manga Howl's Moving Castle . In 2014, it released its newest and well-received album “KARJA-LA” with the German label Galileo. Biography Eero Grundström--- graduated from the top Nordic Music Academy---Sibelius Academy folk music department. He is not only one of the most famous performer in Finland, but also a multi-instrumentalist, composer and true improvisation wizard and has collaborated/worked with symphony orchestra. His creation is a follow-up to works of classical composers with unique style. Eero Turkka--- got interested in blues harp as a little boy and ended up studying in Sibelius Academy. His creation Jampparaleele is the first and one of the most important masterpieces for Sväng. Besides harmonica he plays several other ethnic instruments and sings in multiple bands. He is inspired by Balkan folk and skillful in Bulgarian and Russian. Jouko Kyhälä---graduated from Sibelius Academy folk music department as the first to major harmonica. He completed his post gradate studies and became the first Doctor of Harmonica Arts in April 2007. Dr. Kyhälä has multiple musical capacities having worked with folk, jazz, pop, improvisation and modern dance projects as a composer, musician, performer, etc. He plays keyboards and harmonica in Sväng. Pasi Leino---is the most senior member of the band and the only one adept in/at bass harmonica. He worked several years with a best known Finnish harmonica trio/quartet “Raimo Sirkiä”. They were victorious/made a great success in Trossingen harmonica festival.
