Performed by: Azumi Inoue and her daughter Time: 19:30, January 7th , 2016 Azumi Inoue, honored as MiyazakiHayao’s Queen Singer, gives childlike interpretations to MiyazakiHayao’s songs from animation works by her exclusively pure tone and sweet melodious singing. She is a household name in Japan, as she has once sung many music pieces of classical animation films like City of Sky, My Neighbor TOTORO, Kiki's Delivery Service and so on. In 1986, Azumi Inoue was first invited to sing the ending song Carrying You for the great classical animation City of Sky created by “Studio Ghibli”. Her sweet and melodious song vividly interpreted the purpose of the work, which brought overnight fame to her. Because of the high appraisal she received, she was invited once again to sing the opening song My neighbor Totoro, the ending song Taking a Walk and the interlude Mom for the movie Totoro; In addition, she sang songs for a lot of animation films like Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea etc. Her exuberant deduction of these classic animation songs made them popular and an inseparable part of MiyazakiHayao’s animation films. Meanwhile, Azumi Inoue also obtained the award for best theme song in “Japanese Animation Awards”, ranking first among animation song singers that have won Animation Award and the Outstanding Prize. Her name has become inseparable with MiyazakiHayao’s animation. Azumi Inoue &YUYU- Mother-daughter Combination Azumi Inoue released more than one album of MiyazakiHayao’s animation music and owned fans in three generations. Her daughter YUYU, born in 2004, boasts great music talents and has released several personal albums in spite of her young age. YUYU’s songs posted on YOUTUBE have an annual click rate of 600,000. Both mother and daughter hold a lot of concerts around the world every year.
