South Opera is comparatively speaking the north opera, the south opera is the earliest opera of our country. The South Opera came from the turning point of South and North Dynasty, Wenzhou is the mother land of South Opera.

The South Opera came from the folk and most of the composers are folk artisans that were “talented writers of the folk writer societies”. They are familiar with the citizens’ life and thinking,  The societies as “Jiushan society”, “Yongjia society”, they compose the realistic opus which are welcomed by the people. Sometimes they even became the powerful weapons of people toward vicious power.
