　　BACKGROUND AND CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS:

　　Wenzhou (Lucheng District) characteristic light industrial park whose construction was officially launched in 2002, is a preserved one at the provincial level. This park is located in the west of Wenzhou Lucheng District with total area of 18.3 sq km, is planned to be developed into a first class industrial development zone with high standard、 high grade、 high taste, integrating production, sale, science research , exhibition, information. This park is 38 kilometers away from the Wenzhou Long Wan international wharf, and 51 kilometers away from the airport, 25 kilometers away from Wenzhou railway station. the State highway main line 330, Jin Wen railway, Jin-li-wen highway passing across it, which makes it one of the present industrial parks that has the biggest scale, closest to the city center and has the most convenient transportation. The characteristic light industrial park aims at the overall promotion of the industrial upgrade of the region. And Its leading industries mainly focus on the mechanism, auto parts fitting for automobiles, biology pharmacy and other new technology.  It emphasizes the development of the present advantageous industry in the Lucheng District, and re-enforces the development efforts actively to introduce the new industry, and enhances the development of the high-technology industry, and takes pains to develop service industry, and builds up the new industry advantages, and thus achieves the fast and rewarding development of the characteristic light industrial park

　　PROJECT PREPARATION AND PROGRESS:

　　Now, the first-stage equipment project has undergone a good progress. The emergency water and power supply project has been accomplished. The construction of the pavement and filling project has been started out completely. The constructions of various supporting facilities including those of Yu Teng road, of the sluice at the river mouth and of Wu Pu river valley comprehensive improvement and of Aoli mountain tunnel has been launched. The related office will invest 3 billion Yuan to improve the supporting facilities of the park.

　　PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SCALES AND ITEMS:

　　Wenzhou light industrial characteristic planning mainly focuses on the industry combining the accommodation and comprehensive service in the western new urban area of Lucheng District and it is divided into three stages. The construction area of the first stage covers 6.65 square kilometers with the total investment of 2.3 billion. It is developed into an industrial upgrade base, west overall service center and living paradise. The total investment covers 2.3 billion.
